Distributing of modified Wheat seeds began in Badghis

The process of distributing modified Wheat seeds has started in Badghis and a total of 548 Metric Tons of modified seeds will be distributed to the farmers of this province.
These modified Eggs are distributed to 7,820 Badghis farmers in the general campaign of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Peasants pay only 40 percent of the cost price to receive the modified seeds, which are distributed as subsidies in the Ministry's General Campaign, and the other 60 percent is paid by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The peasants who benefit from these modified seeds are from Qala-e-Naw Markaz and the districts of Qades, Jund, Muqur and Abkamari in Badghis.
Simultaneously, with the distribution of these wheat, 157 Metric Tons of modified seed Wheat and the amount of (207) Metric Tons of chemical fertilizer from the offices and partner institutions (50 Metric Tons from the International Office of Verdojen, 100 Metric Tons from the (FAO)and seven Tons from the IRC office Distributed in coordination with the Badghis Department of Agriculture in the center and districts of the province.
By distributing the total of modified Wheat seeds, 5,480 Hectares of land, modified Wheat will be cultivated.
It should be said that, last year, after the distribution of 817 Metric Tons of modified seed Wheat in Badghis province by the Department of Agriculture and partner institutions, a good and fruitful Agricultural year passed.
