Ministry of Agriculture via one of its projects, launched a scientific course for more than 60 Leading Gardeners in Ghormach, Jand, Bala Murghab and Qades districts of Badghis province, and taught them Gardening skills in Injil district of Herat province.

These skills included teaching new methods of Horticulture, Tree pruning, Spraying, integrated control of plant Diseases and Pests, the correct using of chemical Fertilizers in different seasons, as well as intensive Horticulture and the adjustment of Vineyards to the weeding system.

Leading Gardeners are expected to use these new Horticultural methods in their districts and train other Farmers.

The purpose of this scientific course is to raise the level of awareness of Gardeners in order to use new Horticultural Methods, sharing methods and experiences of Gardeners with each other, as well as recognizing and introducing early Fruit varieties and adapted to the climate of the southwest.
