Badghis Directorate of Agriculture, in contribution with Community-Based Sustainable Land and Forest Management Project (GEF) and Food Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), has dispensed 1,000 mobile Trivet for Forestry communities in Abkamari district of the province.

These trivets are designed to reduce the need for fuel by households by increasing fuel efficiency by 90%. And have been distributed to those families who are living in vulnerable forest areas.

These trivets are being distributed while about 60% of the natural pistachio forests have been cut down for fuel use in last five decades in Badghis.
