The Minister of Agriculture Discussed Projects and Plans with Acting Minister of Finance

Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahady and Mohammad Khalid Payenda, Acting Minister of Finance, discussed the Ministry of Agriculture's projects and plans.
The meeting discussed the current year drought and the government's plans to deal with its consequences.
Mohammad Khalid Payenda, Acting Minister of Finance, talked about the Ministry of Finance's readiness to finance and increase the budget for emergency projects of the Ministry of Agriculture, including Emergency Agriculture and Food Supply Project (EATS), pointing out limited facilities and budget. He also said that the problems of other emergency projects in field of agriculture and livestock should be solved through technical committee and the rest of the optional projects which have been reduced according to the decision of cabinet of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan are considered reduced.
He further added that the Ministry of Agriculture can finance its priority projects through non-optional funding.
