Horticultural Value Chain Development project constructs 335 Onion Warehouses in seven provinces

The Horticultural value chain development project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock will build 335 Onion warehouses in seven provinces.
These projects, launched through the Crop Management Program, are carried out by the Horticulture Value Chain Development Project.
The work of the majority of this reserve is completed and the rest of the work will be completed within another week.
These Warehouses will be built at a total cost of 164 Million 933 thousand 230 Afghanis.
Eighty percent of this cost is provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and the other twenty percent by the beneficiaries.
These Warehouses are located in Kabul, Bamyan, Paktia, Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Logar and Ghazni provinces, and by using them, farmers are able to store more than 4,000 Metric Tons of onions annually.
