Meeting of the Minister of Agriculture with the officials of Agricultural zoning project

In a meeting with Dr. Anwar al-Haq Ahadi, minister of agriculture, irrigation and livestock, the officials of the Agricultural Zoning Project notified the Minister of Agriculture about their functions.
The Agricultural Zoning Project operates under covering of the Directorate of Statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture (MAIL) and is implemented by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).The project is financially supported by the European Union. This project started in 2017 and its first phase last until August 2021.
In the above-mentioned meeting of the project officials with Dr. Anwarul Haq Ahadi, the project officials informed the Minister of Agriculture about their function.
Ishaq Safi, the project manager, briefed the Minister of Agriculture on project’s functions, plans, achievements and future plans.
Mr. Safi said, “Agricultural zoning, capacity building, agricultural scenarios, monitoring and evaluation of crops from planting to harvesting have been regulated by Agricultural zoning project.”
He further stated that so far the work done by the project is the preparation and publication of an Atlas of agricultural zoning and the implementation of basic activities in the field of capacity building.
