125 Veg Farmers Trained in Herat

Herat Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Directorate through the Support for National Priority Program 2 (SnaPP2) trained 125 vegetable farmers in the province.

The training program was about how to cultivate and nurture vegetables such as tomato, cauliflower, cabbage, carrot, as well as management of vegetable pests and post-harvest operations.

The training program was conducted in Engel, Gozra, Karakh, Zenda Jan, and Ghoryan districts.

The aim of this training program was to raise the technical knowledge of the farmers and to facilitate the sharing of experiences and the exchange of ideas between farmers and promotion employees. Farmers who participated in this program have already been distributed modified vegetable seeds and fertilizer.
