MAIL Signs MoU with AWCCI

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (MAIL) signed a Memorandum of Understand (MoU) with the Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AWCCI).
Abdulhadi Rafi, deputy minister for admin and finance at MAIL, says that women and agriculture play an important role in Afghanistan's self-sufficiency and that there is a need to further strengthen the role of women in the field of agricultural development. "By signing this agreement, women's entrepreneurship in agriculture will increase," he said.
Manezha Wafiq, Director of Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AWCCI), also emphasized the need for cooperation between the chamber and the Ministry of Agriculture. "Having better tastes, from process to the packaging of crops, women have a key role to play and are active in many different fields of agriculture," she said.
