CBARD Project Builds 531 Acres of new Gardens in Farah

Community Based Agriculture and Rural Development Project (CBARD) of The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) built 513 acres of new orchards for 247 gardeners in Farah province during spring planting campaign.
The orchards, which include 284 acres of vineyards, 122 acres of pomegranate orchards, 75 acres of jujube orchards and 50 acres of dense orchards of pear and plums, have been established in Khak-e-Safid and Pashtrood districts.These orchards are designed to limit the range of poppy fields and to promote the cultivation and production of valuable crops.
