526 Hectares of Pistachio land have been constructed and rehabilitated in Badghis this Year

The Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Badghis Province says, that 526 Hectares of Pistachio Orchards rehabilitated in Muqur and Abkamari districts of the province this year.
The department adds that 120 Hectares of these areas have been newly constructed and rehabilitated by the Department of Agriculture, and another 406 Hectares by the National Horticulture and Livestock Project of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Officials of Badghis department of Agriculture add that 176 Kilograms of Pistachio seeds have been purchased to rehabilitate these areas and have been planted directly in the dug holes.
This action was carried out by 144 farmers through ten forestry associations.
The National Horticulture and Livestock Project of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has also established 50 Hectares of Orchards in the province and revived 30 Hectares of old Orchards in Abukamri, Muqur, Qadis and Qala-e-Naw districts.
