200 Women in Samangan were trained in Greenhouses Management Skills

Acted Institute, with the financial support of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), trained 200 Women under the alternative livelihood project in the production of Greenhouses Vegetables in Aibak and Hazrat Sultan districts of Samangan province, and was Launched irrigation and livestock in Samangan province.
The purpose of this program is to introduce the methods of Proper Management of Greenhouses so that they can have the necessary skills in the proper cultivation of Vegetables, better control of plant diseases, Marketing.
Greenery in Samangan has become a good alternative for these Women to cultivate drugs, which has boosted their lives.
The farmers harvest 40 to 50 Kilos of cucumbers and rum daily from each Greenhouse, earning 600 to 700 Afghanis. So far, each of these Greenhouses owners has harvested 1.5 Tons of produce from each Greenhouses, and the production of their Greenhouses Greenhouses continue.
This income has provided a livelihood for legitimate cultivation among these Peasants, who, in turn, have provided Vegetables for the Local Market.
Greenhouses have been fruitful in terms of having special stability in conditions of water shortage, job creation, increased capacity, ease of controlling diseases and pests, production in all seasons and production of quality product.
